8/16/47
Joined St. .Paul's Reformed church shortly thereafter, moving his
membership from Maiden First Baptist, where he had been a member
since childhood
Served on the Consistory as a Deacon and an Elder
Served as a Church Trustee
Was a member of the Churchmen's Fellowship for 50+ years, serving as
secretary for many years
Sang in the choir
Served as Superintendant of the Adult Sunday School Class and as
teacher of that class
Served as an usher prior to singing in the choir
Helped mow the church yard

Allen Edward Shugart
September 27, 1937 -- June 20, 1987
Ed was the
loving husband of Linda and a great father to Cary,
David and Cam. He loved his church and participated in many
ways. He served as a deacon and an usher as well as on the
consistory and the cemetary and grounds committees. His
most favorite part of church was the original Young Adult
Sunday School class. Ed also served as treasurer for many
years while we worked hard to raise the funds for the
construction of the new church building.
